# Implementation traces

Use the `khotan` CLI to operate Khotan implementation traces. Add `--json` for machine-readable output; results go to stdout, diagnostics to stderr.

## Commands

### khotan traces search

Usage: `khotan traces search --q <string> [--k <number>]`

Hybrid semantic + full-text search over captured coding sessions (Cursor, Claude, Codex, Devin); returns one ranked passage per conversation with its thread id. Requires the developer role.

Arguments & options:
- `--q` — Natural-language search query. (required, query)
- `--k` — Maximum number of results to return (1-50). (optional, query)
