# Folders

Use the `khotan` CLI to operate Khotan folders. Add `--json` for machine-readable output; results go to stdout, diagnostics to stderr.

## Commands

### khotan folders create

Usage: `khotan folders create --name <string> [--parent-id <string>] [--parent-path <string>]`

Create a folder under the root, a parent id, or a parent path.

Arguments & options:
- `--name` — The folder name. (required, body)
- `--parent-id` — Parent folder id. (optional, body)
- `--parent-path` — Parent folder path. (optional, body)

### khotan folders delete

Usage: `khotan folders delete <folderId>`

Delete a folder and its contents.

Arguments & options:
- `<folderId>` — The folder id. (required, path)

Safety: destructive — prompts for confirmation in a terminal and refuses in non-interactive sessions unless you pass `--yes`.

### khotan folders list

Usage: `khotan folders list`

List all active folders as a flat list.

### khotan folders rename

Usage: `khotan folders rename <folderId> --name <string>`

Rename a folder.

Arguments & options:
- `<folderId>` — The folder id. (required, path)
- `--name` — The new folder name. (required, body)
